Welcome to Glad Place Blog

Phillip J. Bryson
November 23rd, 2022

Greetings Friend, and Welcome!

On my home page you were welcomed to my website.  Here I want to extend a hearty welcome to my blog posts.  You may wonder why an online store would present blogs.  Of course, the main idea is that you will come to this online store to find products, and I hope you will find many that will make your kitchen functional and even inspire some excellent cooking.  So, I do recognize your intent to visit a website is usually just to find a particular product; you may be far less interested in reading somebody’s blog.  Nevertheless, I certainly hope you will feel welcome here where I will post my views of some important ideas.

Why Should an Online Store Present Blogs?

Your interest in quality products with reasonable prices is certainly understandable, and I want to appeal to that interest to justify sharing some information with you. A blog can provide you with product reviews, perhaps helping you close in quickly on what you are looking for. But there are also some other ideas of interest.  The commodities discussed in blogs can indeed make your kitchen more functional.  Where I discover products of quality, or with novel characteristics that make them really handy and effective in performing otherwise difficult or inconvenient cooking tasks, that can be of great worth in making your kitchen a “glad place.”

Are the Roles of Home and Kitchen Changing in our World?

But some of those ideas I mentioned as the rationale for writing a blog relate to the discovery of non-commercial ways to make a kitchen a delightful place. It can be a place where you come to understand better your life’s partner and your children, and to help you build relationships in your home that make any home the most beautiful place on earth. Perhaps not least important is the possibility that you will gain wonderful cooking skills, or significantly increase those you have already developed.

One of my blogs addresses the fact that now and possibly even more so in the future we will find ourselves spending even more time at home than we do now. Covid certainly kept us home a lot, and the movement toward a four-day workweek has been picking up steam in recent years. Those are reasons to expect we’ll spend more time at home in the future. They are also reasons to take seriously the challenge to improve your home and family life so that spending more time there becomes a pleasing prospect.

Are There Other Paths to Happiness Than Through Good Cooking?

Having a well-stocked kitchen with contemporary equipment – tools and utensils – could contribute to the happiness and well-being of all the people thus well served. But without the presence of love, friendship and interest, a family will lack the joy that is such an important part of a state of well-being. A blog on the subject need not harangue, but could contribute much by way of simple suggestions and friendly reminders.

Finally, there is the possibility of offering suggestions in a blog about where special bargains can be found.  Through online search techniques you can cut to the chase and find a specific product you are looking for, but to have a suggestion offered as to where a rare bargain can be located among a veritable sea of products can be a big help, making you aware of the chance to save money.  And of course, the price of a commodity (important as it is) is not the only important thing about any given item. When there is something really special about a new product, it is helpful to be aware of it.

Do I Suppose That Everyone Will Take an Interest in my Blogs?

Now I grant you, after having said all that, you may be an astute person who can read between lines, sniff out an inference that other people are slow to grasp, and make flawless decisions without any helpful hints from others. You may need no suggestions about social or familial ways of turning tasty meals into great meetings of loving minds.  I know there are those of you out there who can do all of that with ease.  If you are one of those, more power to you.  If you boycott my blogs I won’t be hurt at all;   I’m not the only guy around who has lived long enough to figure out why we should all be more like President Garfield in certain ways. And I remain confident that you can still find this webstore very worthwhile for yourself simply because of the quality products and reasonable prices it will offer.

So please feel welcome, and if so inclined, enjoy!
